IV 2  ON THE CALENDAR
Regional Workshop on Green Economy and Sustainable Consumption and Production, Tbilisi, 6 May

Under the EU, OECD, UNECE, UNEP, and UNIDO’s partnership project “Greening Economies in the Eastern Neighbourhood” (EaP GREEN), UNEP will in collaboration with Georgia’s Ministry of Environment Protection and Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development hold the First Regional Workshop on Green Economy and Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP).

The workshop is intended to raise awareness about greening the economy and SCP approaches, review the overall SCP status progress in the Eastern Neighbourhood subregion, and exchange experiences and success stories.

During the workshop, experts will speak on: the status of the SCP patterns in the Eastern Neighbourhood countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine), organic agriculture opportunities, sustainable lifestyle and education, eco-innovations, waste management and green jobs, sustainable public procurement and other measures for the green economy and sustainable consumption and production.

The workshop is primarily targeted to policymakers, civil society and business sector representatives from the six EU's EaP countries, with some 50 participants are expected to attend.
