Why mountains matter for the SDGs | |
On 11 December, International Mountain Day, UNEP’s Vienna Office - Interim Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention (ISCC) organized the public event “The Post-2015 Agenda - Why mountains matter for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” to raise awareness for mountain-related issues in the context of the current Post-2015 discussions.
The event was organized by UNEP office in Vienna and UNIS Vienna in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water of Austria (Lebensministerium), the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC), GRID Arendal (GRIDA), the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences of Vienna (BOKU), the European Academy Bolzano (EURAC) and the Carpathian Convention.
