New government for the Czech Republic | |
On 29 January, a three-party government was sworn in in the Czech Republic, three months after parliamentary elections. The new Prime Minister is the leader of the Social Democrats (CSSD), Bohuslav Sobotka. The other parties represented are the Christian Democrats and a parliamentary newcomer, ANO, which hopes to join the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe. Mr Richard Brabec (ANO) has been appointed as Minister of Environment. |
